Venture capital is the funding of startups and relatively newer ventures that show the potential for long-term and explosive growth. Investing in a company at such an early stage, while often high risk, offers VCs an amazing opportunity to significantly influence their portfolio companies to operate in a God-honoring way. There are an increasing number of venture capitalists out there seeking to invest in businesses using a redemptive approach. Below is a non-exhaustive list of some VCs thoughtfully implementing spiritual integration into their portfolios. The FDI movement is not prescriptive about what spiritual integration within a fund looks like as there are endless ways that God can use a Christ-follower to bring about human flourishing. Generally speaking, the first group of firms below explicitly identify themsleves as faith-driven VC Funds, while the second group of firms might not have a faith driven investment thesis, but instead some looked to faith-driven leaders at their helm.
