Jordan Izumi serves as Vice President – National Accounts & DCIO Sales at Crossmark Global Investments. He is responsible for relationship management and building and enhancing Crossmark’s platform of investment solutions with intermediary distribution partners.

Jordan has a decade of experience in financial services. In 2015, he joined Crossmark from AG Financial Solutions where he focused on workplace retirement plans and values-based investments.

Bio:

Josh finds joy in building high-impact organizations that create enduring value. He co-founded Praxis while he was the Director of International Giving for the David Weekley Family Foundation, where he divided his time between conducting due diligence on innovative social enterprises and helping portfolio organizations scale their impact; he continues to advise DWFF on grantmaking and impact investing.

Josh is a founding board member of Village Schools International, a ministry that has started more than 30 high schools in Africa. He also served on the founding executive committee of the Big Bang Philanthropy Group. Previously, Josh worked as a journalist and was published in The San Jose Mercury News, The Wall Street Journal, Newsweek, and Stanford Social Innovation Review. Josh also co-founded and serves on the board of Carpenters Code.

Life:

He graduated from Harvard and earned an MBA from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management. He lives with his family near San Francisco.

Josh Ruyle

Bio:

Prior to joining HOPE, Josh served as general manager of Opportunity International’s Microcredit Company in East Asia. He began working with HOPE in 2010 alongside Beth, his wife, as HOPE’s East Asia country director and then as Asia and Eastern Europe regional director.  Prior to assuming his current role leading HOPE Global Investments, Josh oversaw HOPE’s strategic push into SME lending, training, and auxiliary services.  In addition to his work at HOPE, Josh is actively working with Beth’s family to assume ownership over a 55-employee company based in northeast Iowa.

Josh holds a bachelor’s degree in business management from Arizona State University, an advanced Chinese language studies certificate, and an M.A. in international development and economics from Johns Hopkins University. He lives in Washington, D.C., with Beth and their three boys, Hudson Taylor, John Elliot, and Enoch Adoniram.

Joel Morris

Dr. Joel Morris is the Executive Director of Union Foundation, overseeing the strategic and operational direction of the organisation. He is a leader and trustee of Grace Community Church, Porthcawl. He has been a missionary working in 28 countries with Operation Mobilisation before obtaining a doctorate and beginning a career in Materials Engineering which took him from Aerospace to the Nuclear sector. 

Prior to joining Union, he was Assistant Professor at the Seoul National University in South Korea. He has extensive experience in bringing technology research to market, and in creating industrially sponsored University projects. He also started his own company specialising in aerospace technology, spun out of Swansea University. 

Joel is married to Hye Lim and they have three children.

Johan Du Preez

Bio:

Johan Du Preez began his career in the USA (California, 1991) where he specialised in the turnaround of large retail “drug” stores (for American Drug Stores, a retail group that owned more than 700 stores). He then moved on to managed healthcare (medical insurance and risk management) and was part of a core team that created a national claims processor (RxAmerica) allowing pharmacies to submit their claims to medical insurers online and in real-time (via a satellite link).

Upon his return to South Africa he was instrumental in the turnaround of Sanlam Health (health insurance, CEO 1999 – 2001), led Glacier by Sanlam (retail investments, CEO 2002 – 2004) and headed the start-up of the financing company Quince Capital (CEO 2006 – 2009).

He recently acted as the CEO of the then JSE listed pharmaceutical company Cipla Medpro South Africa (August 2012 to June 2013) and during this time concluded a R4.5bn transaction with Cipla India that saw the delisting of Cipla Medpro. During his involvement with the Sanlam group he served on the Executive committees of Sanlam Life and Sanlam Investment Management.

Johan obtained the degree M. Pharm in 1989 (University of Pretoria) and holds an MBA from National University in San Diego, California (1996).
