Henry Kaestner

Henry Kaestner co-founded the Faith Driven Entrepreneur and Faith Driven Investor ministries, and has been a catalyst behind both movements. He and his team seek to serve faith driven entrepreneurs, investors, funds, partners, and advisors through content, community, and connections.

Henry is also a Co-Founder and Partner at Sovereign’s Capital, a private equity and venture capital management company that invests in faith driven entrepreneurs in Southeast Asia and the U.S. from its offices in Silicon Valley, Durham, Nashville, Chattanooga, Atlanta, and Jakarta, Indonesia. Prior to co-founding Sovereign’s Capital, Henry was Co-founder and previous CEO, and then Chairman, of Bandwidth (NASDAQ:BAND) and its sister company, Republic Wireless (which spun out of Bandwidth in 2016). Together the companies have grown from $0 to more than $600 million in revenue. The founding values of Bandwidth are: Faith, Family, Work and Fitness (in that order). Prior to co-founding Bandwidth.com with David Morken, Henry founded Chapel Hill Brokers (a predecessor to ICAP Energy), an institutional energy derivatives broker that became the top ranked electricity broker in the country.

Henry has been involved in a number of other ministries and philanthropic activities. He co-founded DurhamCares, was a founding Board Member of Praxis, and sits on a variety of business and ministry boards including Valley Christian Schools where his 3 boys attend. Go Warriors!

Henry is a member of the broader Church in the Bay Area, attends Venture Christian Church in Los Gatos, CA and serves as an elder in the Presbyterian Church of America. Henry lives in Los Gatos with his wife Kimberley and their three sons.

Chief Investment Officer | Beacon Wealth

Hillary serves as Chief Investment Officer and serves clients from our State College, PA office. Hillary graduated magna cum laude from Bucknell University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics, earned the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation in 2009 and the Certified Kingdom Advisor® designation in 2018. Shortly after graduating from college, she was deeply impacted through studying what God’s word says about handling money and saw the need to take the message of stewardship, financial literacy and responsible investing to others. Hillary has co-led numerous small group studies focused on biblical financial principles and most recently was the co-founder of a firm focused on biblically responsible investing (BRI). 

Prior to joining Beacon Wealth Consultants, Inc. and co-founding a BRI firm, she served as Chief Investment Officer at a federally Registered Investment Advisor with over $1 billion in assets under management.  In this capacity, she was responsible for oversight of all aspects of the firm’s investment activities including review of capital market expectations, manager selection, and strategic and tactical portfolio construction. She conducted fundamental and technical analysis on a wide variety of investments including mutual funds, stocks, exchange traded products and individual bonds, and provided high-quality strategic advice, research, and analysis to over 80 financial advisers and their client base through conference calls and seminars. In addition, she has served as a portfolio manager covering the construction of faith-based and socially responsible investment portfolios, taxable and municipal bond ladders and managed client accounts at another nationally-recognized firm. These skills, coupled with her passion for biblically responsible investing, have equipped her for her present role of leading the investment strategies of Beacon Wealth Consultants and giving investors a louder voice in the marketplace as they align their investments with their values.

On a personal note, Hillary and her husband Michael have been married for over 14 years and have two small children that keep them busy. They are members at Oakwood Presbyterian Church in State College, PA. In her spare time, she enjoys travelling, cooking from scratch, remodeling projects, and reading.

Hugh Whelchel

Bio:

As executive director, Hugh Whelchel brings a unique combination of executive responsibility, creative educational administration, and technical innovation from over thirty years of diverse business experience. Almost a decade ago, Hugh stepped out of a successful business career in the IT industry to share his experience of turning around unprofitable companies with Reformed Theological Seminary’s struggling Washington, DC, campus where he served as executive director and guest professor.

In addition to his business acumen, Hugh has a passion and expertise in helping individuals integrate their faith and vocational calling. He is the author of How Then Should We Work? Rediscovering the Biblical Doctrine of Work, released in May 2012. Hugh has been published by a variety of media outlets from The Washington Post to Christianity Today, The Gospel Coalition, and ByFaith magazine. He has also been a guest on Moody Radio Network’s “In the Market with Janet Parshall,” Salem Radio Network, IRN/USA Radio Network, and Truth in Action Ministries’ “Truth That Transforms,” and the “Jack Riccardi Show,” among other shows.

In addition to serving on the board of several Christian non-profits, Hugh has served as executive director and board member of The Fellows Initiative, an umbrella organization supporting and establishing church-based Fellows Programs which are designed to help young adults understand God’s vocational calling on their lives as they enter their careers.

Life:

A native Floridian, Hugh earned a bachelor of arts in sociology from the University of Florida and a master of arts in religion from Reformed Theological Seminary. Hugh and his wife Leslie now live in Loudoun County, Virginia. As an ordained ruling elder in the Presbyterian Church in America, he serves in leadership at McLean Presbyterian Church in McLean, Virginia. In what little spare time he has, Hugh enjoys hiking, golfing, and restoring old sports cars.

Iyinoluwa Aboyeji

Iyinoluwa Aboyeji is an entrepreneur in the public interest. He is passionate about partnering with missionary talent and capital to build an African future. He spent the last few years as the CEO of Flutterwave, a business building payments technology and infrastructure to connect Africa to the global economy. Over those years, he led the company to become one of the fastest-growing payments technology businesses of all-time processing over $2 billion across over 50 million transactions with annual revenues of millions of dollars a year. It also attracted significant investment from experienced players in the global payments arena such as Y Combinator (investors in Stripe), Greycroft (investors in Braintree), Greenvisor Capital (Led by the Former CEO of Visa), Mastercard amongst others. Prior to helping to co-found and lead Flutterwave, Iyinoluwa co-founded Andela – Africa’s largest engineering organization with over 1000 software engineers which has received investment from Mark Zuckerberg and Google Ventures amongst others. Iyinoluwa holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Legal Studies from the University of Waterloo; and sits on the board of several institutions including Paris’ Share Africa Project, Rainbow Educational Services Limited and Filmo Realty. He served as the Deputy Director General for Madam Oby Ezekwesili’s 2019 Presidential Campaign, he is a World Economic Forum Young Global Leader, a Forbes 30 under 30 honoree and a member of Nigeria’s Industrial Policy and Competitiveness Advisory Council.

J. Greg Spencer

J. Greg Spencer has corporate M&A, legal and capital markets experience. He is co-founder of Bluesource, LLC (environmental asset developer), co-founder of The Paradigm Project, L3C (last-mile distribution in East Africa), and is currently working to launch a “Common Good Marketplace” to convert the unrecognized economic value of social impacts in the form of SDGs into incremental program funding for social ventures everywhere. 

Greg has been married to his best friend Laurel for 42 years, and is regularly overwhelmed with “boundary lines that have fallen for me in pleasant places.”

Jack founded and leads Kore Investments, real estate firm specializing in acquisitions, asset management, and property management.  Its primary investments include office, industrial, retail, multifamily, and shared office space with co-working and executive suites for solo practice professionals and small businesses. Under Jack’s leadership, the firm has acquired local and national properties including the ReMax/HQ building (5075 S. Syracuse St., Greenwood Village).

KORE is an acronym that stands for Kingdom Oriented Real Estate.
