Shane Enete

Associate Professor | Biola University

Shane Enete has worked as an associate professor of finance at Biola University since 2015. Enete launched the Certified of Financial Planning (CFP) program at the Crowell School of Business where students are trained in the art and science of personal financial planning. Prior to working at Biola, Enete was an investment research professional for 10 years for large institutional asset managers. His duties included valuing public stock securities, modeling asset allocations, and serving as a forensic accountant. Enete currently holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designations and was awarded the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designation in 2014. Enete holds a B.S. in Finance from the University of Southern California, a M.S. in Mathematical Finance from the University of North Carolina, Charlotte, and a Ph.D. in financial planning from Kansas State University. His research interests include Biblically Responsible Investing (BRI), charitable giving, and behavioral finance. Shane is married to Tammy, and is father to Sage and Silas. He enjoys any activity near the beach, or in the water, including surfing, swimming, beach volleyball, and triathlons.

Rusty is an active advisor and Board Director for venture-backed start-ups and philanthropic causes. In September 2014, Rusty was appointed by President Obama to The President’s Advisory Committee for the Arts for The Kennedy Center. Rusty is also the former Chairman of The GRAMMY Foundation in Los Angeles.

Politically, he successfully complete a 16 month leadership role as Coordinating National Co-Chair for Technology for Obama (T4O) for the reelection of President Obama.

Corporately, most recently he was the Chief Executive Officer at SNOCAP, Inc. until the acquisition of the company by imeem, Inc. in April 2008. Before joining SNOCAP in 2005, he was Executive Vice President of Human Resources at Electronic Arts (EA) from 1998 until 2005. He was also with the PepsiCo companies for more than ten years, with the Pratt & Whitney division of United Technologies for two years, and in commercial radio as an on-air personality for six years. 

Rusty holds an M.S. in counseling and a B.A. in radio and television from Purdue University. In 2003 he was named a distinguished Purdue alumnus, and he and his wife, Patti, are the named benefactors of Purdue’s Patti and Rusty Rueff School of Visual and Performing Arts.  He is a corporate director of Glassdoor and runcoach . He serves as a Trustee of the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco, where he was also Board President.  

He is the co-founder and Executive Committee Member of T4A.org , on the Founding Circle of The Centrist Project and a founding Board Member of The GRAMMY Music Education Coalition. He is also the co-author of the book Talent Force: A New Manifesto for the Human Side of Business.

Sam Weatherford

Sam Weatherford is a Partner at Weatherford Capital. He is primarily responsible for deal sourcing, portfolio management, investment analysis, and transaction execution.

He has over 14 years of direct private equity investment experience, having led the execution of over 40 direct investments across the US, Asia, Africa, South America, and Eastern Europe. Prior to Weatherford Capital, Sam was a founding member of Schulze Global Investments, a private investment firm focused on the world’s most dynamic frontier markets — acquired by Cerberus Capital Management and renamed Cerberus Frontier in 2018. In addition to being an avid world traveler, his investment career has led him to live in China and Ethiopia, developing a high level of proficiency in Chinese. Sam serves on multiple boards including CloudFactory, a global leader in tech-enabled managed workforce solutions for companies operating and developing artificial intelligence and machine learning tools. Additionally, Sam is a founding member of the Peterson Institute for International Economics’ Global Future Council, the leading economic and financial affairs think tank in North America.

A graduate of Fordham University, Sam is married to Salime; they reside in Dallas, Texas with their three children.

The VisionWise Capital team is headed by company founder and CEO Sanford Coggins. As Vice President, Wealth Management Advisory at Merrill Lynch for 16 years, Sanford managed over $100M in client assets, and co-developed a three-year $77M pilot project creating financial opportunities for the region’s ethnically diverse communities. Sanford earned ML’s Lifetime Achievement Award for leadership and excellence.

Sanford holds a post-graduate Certificate of Entrepreneurship from the University of Southern California, and received his BA from the University of Texas at Austin, where he played football on a four-year scholarship. Sanford has been a featured speaker for colleges, universities, and industry conferences including courses on Business Financial Strategies at UCLAs Price Anderson School of Business, and Alternative Investments at several IMN, iGlobal, and ADISA Conferences.

Mr. Clevenger is responsible for relationships with HNW Individuals, Family Offices and Private Equity Firms for the growth and refinancing capital requirements of MRG Holdings. Prior to association with the company, Mr. Clevenger held executive positions with Integrated Financial, Rainier Capital, Encore Equities, and began his career as an auditor with Alexander Grant & Co.
