On the same day of his graduation from the University of Georgia, David Salyers took his first job at Chick-fil-A where he was one of two original marketing executives. He spent 37 years in the Marketing Department, eventually serving as Vice President before his retirement in 2018.

Salyers was instrumental in the growth and development of the iconic ‘Eat Mor Chikin’ cow campaign at Chick-fil-A and helped champion a marketing department that rose to international prominence. At Roam, Salyers acts as Partner and has been integral in establishing Roam’s culture of servant leadership, generosity and hospitality. He is passionate about Roam’s purpose-driven mission and finding new ways to create remarkable experiences for customers.

Bio:

David Simms is Managing Partner and Founder of Talanton, a Kingdom-impact investment firm. He focuses on opportunities to create jobs, bring hope, and transform lives for people living in poverty in the developing world, with a special focus on East Africa. Talanton mobilizes purpose-driven and generally tax-deductible investment capital through a unique model into a pooled Kingdom impact fund where the investments generate scalable, sustainable and transformational impact by being invested in growth-stage companies creating good jobs in the developing world.  Investment returns then flow back into  the donor-investors’ donor advised fund, family foundation, or source of origin thereby preserving and growing the donor’s capital for future giving or other investing.

Prior to founding Talanton, David served as a Managing Director at Impact Foundation. Previously he served as president of Opportunity U.S., a global microfinance organization serving 12 million clients. He has chaired the U.S., Global, and MicroEnsure boards over decades of involvement with Opportunity—from when it served fewer than 1,000 families.

David’s career spans executive roles in financial services, management consulting, government, and nonprofits. He has served as a Partner with Bridgespan, S.E.V.P. at MBNA America, CEO of the American Red Cross Washington/Baltimore Blood Services Region, and was a White House Fellow. David started his career at Bain.

He holds an MBA and a JD from Harvard and has earned two bachelor’s degrees in economics and applied science from the University of Pennsylvania (summa cum laude).

 Life:

David and Kim celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary in October. They live in suburban Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and have two wonderful adult sons, Stephen and Ryan.

Bio:

David Snyder’s expertise comes from more than 30 years of commercial real estate investment experience. During that time, he has overseen and managed a wide variety of real estate investment transactions.

Over the course of his career, David has directed real estate investment activities for pension fund, insurance, syndication, and private clients. He has also helped to liquidate and/or restructure the classified assets of syndication groups and financial and government institutions. He has purchased in excess of $2 billion in investments of commercial and multifamily real estate for his clients and sponsored investment funds. He is a member of the board of directors of the National Multi-Housing Council and serves of the board of several non-profit organizations.

Life:

David attended Colorado State University, where he studied Construction Management, Solar/Chemical Engineering, and Business Administration. He previously served in various capacities with Van Schaak and Company, Commonwealth Mortgage Company, Worldwide Exchange Group, and Snyder Investment Corporation, a real estate investment company he founded in 1979. He has two adult children and he and his wife currently reside in Littleton, Colorado.

David Luttrell

David Luttrell serves as Managing Director of Investments at LCM Group, a privately-owned diversified investment company and family office headquartered in Dallas, Texas. David provides deal sourcing, coordination, due diligence and analysis for LCM Group’s investment activities across asset classes, with a predominant focus in direct deals in private equity and venture capital.

Prior to LCM, David previously served as Senior Economic Analyst and Special Assistant to President Richard Fisher at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas and worked in the Private Equity/Venture Capital Group at Makena Capital (Menlo Park, CA) and the Financial Institutions Group at Temasek Holdings (Singapore).

David received magna cum laude honors with a B.S. in Economics and B.B.A. in Finance with a concentration in Alternative Assets from Southern Methodist University and earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business.

David is passionate about biblical stewardship, and is a trustee or director of several Christian grant-making organizations, including The Light Foundation, and Dallas-based Christian stewardship ministry Ambassadors Club. David is on the Partnership Board of East-West Ministries with his wife, Keelie, and previously served 5 years on the Board of Directors for HOI (Helping Others Internationally), a community and economic development NGO in Central America. David and Keelie are active members in their local body of Watermark Community Church and enjoy serving together in the Moneywise financial equipping ministry.

David McAlvany delivered his first speech on inflation standing atop a coffee table and wearing a three-piece suit – at the age of six. He spent his childhood traveling extensively with his father, Don McAlvany, to Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and Europe. During that time, David received a priceless and in many ways unparalleled education on geopolitical, social, economic, and intelligence developments around the world.

He is a graduate of Biola University and an associate member of Keble College, Oxford University, where he studied philosophy and political theory. He later volunteered as an analyst in Chile with The Institute for Liberty and Development – an organization dedicated to providing free market solutions throughout Latin America and the Third World. He went on to achieve honors as a top salesman with Southwestern Company, and gained extensive business expertise with Morgan Stanley, including work with start-ups and business financing.

David Miller

Bio:

David is on the faculty of Princeton University, and serves as Director of the Princeton University Faith & Work Initiative. His academic appointment is Associate Research Scholar and Lecturer. Prior to this, he was at Yale University for five years, where he served as the Executive Director of the Yale Center for Faith & Culture, and taught at both Yale School of Management and Divinity School . David’s signature course is, “Business Ethics: Succeeding without Selling Your Soul.”

Prior to academia, David lived and worked in London, England for eight years, where he was a partner in a private equity firm that specialized in international investment management, corporate finance, and mergers and acquisitions. Before that he was a senior executive and director of the securities services and global custody division of HSBC Group, having held the same position at Midland Bank Plc before its acquisition by HSBC. He moved to London as the managing director of the European operations of State Street Bank and Trust, a leading US securities services bank. He started his management career in the U.S., working for IBM for eight years in a variety of sales and marketing management positions.

David’s book, God at Work: The History and Promise of the Faith at Work Movement (Oxford University Press, 2007), challenges business academics and executives, as well as theologians and clergy to think differently about ethics, faith, and work.
