Eric Chetwood, CFP® graduated from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2003 with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. His primary responsibilities consist of helping clients with comprehensive financial planning and portfolio construction.

In 2007, Eric completed coursework and successfully passed the Certified Financial Planner exam. This year-long curriculum and 10 hour final exam covered various aspects of financial planning.

Away from the office, Eric enjoys effecting change in the local community. He was chosen to participate in the 2007 Leadership Durham program and the 2009 Leadership Triangle program. Currently, Eric serves as a directional Elder at the Summit Church. He also serves on the board of directors for the NC Study Center at UNC-CH and previously served on the board of Samaritan Health Center, an organization that provides medical care to uninsured and low income families in Durham. He and his wife, Allison, have two sons and are passionate about adoption advocacy as well as leveraging their gifts and resources to alleviate physical and spiritual poverty through microfinance and social businesses.

Growing up, Eric’s own family faced an unexpected tragedy that transpired in the loss of the family business and wealth. This loss fueled Eric’s passion for uncovering the tools and developing an outlook that facilitates passing wisdom and wealth through multi-generational legacies while building the Kingdom of God. Since 2007, Mr. Dunavant’s leadership of Paradiem has resulted in his clients being able to maximize their family or business value, minimize taxes, and optimize charitable giving while building lasting legacies.

Before Paradiem, Mr. Dunavant served as a vice president for Charles Schwab. While at Charles Schwab, Mr. Dunavant helped to build the New Orleans private client office to the top national office in 2006. Before Charles Schwab, Mr. Dunavant was an associate at Fidelity Investments, in charge of the management of money market mutual funds.

Eric is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, a Qualified Kingdom Advisor™, and affiliated with the Financial Planning Association. In addition to his certifications, Mr. Dunavant has been awarded New Orleans City Business Money Maker twice, the New Orleans area Five Star Professional Wealth Manager award in back-to-back years, and Safe Harbor’s Real Man of St. Tammany Parish.

An accomplished writer, Mr. Dunavant’s book, What If We’ve Been Doing It All Wrong focuses on how our worldview, not our faith in Christ, often interrupts all our financial thinking and behavior. In addition to his writing accolades, Mr. Dunavant has been featured in several national publications and media outlets, including The New York TimesThe Wall Street JournalDow Jones Daily Finance, and The Street and Family Wealth Report.

Eric is a proud graduate of Texas A&M University, where he graduated with a degree in business. Mr. Dunavant resides in Covington, Louisiana, with his wife Angel and their three children, Clayton, Austen, and Gracyn. It is Eric and Angel’s desire that their children learn early in life of God’s grace and the tremendous joy associated with sharing God’s love through service to others. The Dunavants are members of First Baptist Church of Covington and Eric serves on many nonprofit and faith-based boards. Mr. and Mrs. Dunavant are the proud founders of Doing Good Days – a faith-based nonprofit dedicated to sharing the joy of service with others, and impacting their local community, in Central American villages and U.S. neighborhoods.

Eric J. Kim is a Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Goodwater Capital. Prior to co-founding Goodwater, Eric was a Managing Director at Maverick Capital. Eric has led early and growth stage investments into leading consumer and mobile technology companies such as Kakao (IPO – KOSDAQ:035720), Musical.ly, Zenefits, and Upsight. Eric currently serves on the Board of Directors of Coupang, Memebox, Frank & Oak, Viva Republica, Pager, and Retrica.

Eric previously headed business development for NeoPoly, a thin-film transistor and mobile phone startup that focused on key technologies enabling touch and video for 1st generation smartphones and also co-founded Biomimedica, an advanced joint technology company – both companies were spun out of Stanford University.

Eric first learned to code as an undergrad at Yale University where he majored in Cognitive Science (Phi Beta Kappa, Magna Cum Laude) and was a member of the Grammy-nominated Yale Cellos. Eric also received an MBA from Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business. Eric serves on the advisory board of the Johns Hopkins Alliance for Science and Technology and the non-profit board of the San Francisco Friends of Chamber Music.

Prior to joining Schrum Private Wealth Management, Eric was a Full Trader with Fidelity Investments, trading stock, mutual funds, and fixed income for Fidelity’s retail clients. Eric also worked as a staffer for Venture Capital fund Sovereign’s Capital. Eric holds a bachelors in finance from Florida State University.

Bio:

Finny Kuruvilla serves as the CIO for Eventide Funds, lead Portfolio Manager on the Eventide Gilead Fund, and Portfolio Manager on the Eventide Healthcare & Life Sciences Fund.

Dr. Kuruvilla has a unique background in healthcare, statistics, and investing. Concurrent with Eventide, from 2008 through 2016, he was a Principal at Clarus Ventures, a leading healthcare and life sciences venture capital firm. Prior to joining Eventide, from 2006-2008, Dr. Kuruvilla was a research fellow at the Broad Institute of Harvard and MIT, and from 2005-2008, Dr. Kuruvilla was a clinical fellow at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Children’s Hospital Boston and a postdoctoral scientist at MIT.

He holds an MD from Harvard Medical School, a PhD in Chemistry and Chemical Biology from Harvard University, a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from MIT, and a bachelor’s degree from Caltech in Chemistry.

Bio:

Doug Fagerstrom is the Executive President and CEO of Marketplace Chaplains, beginning in the summer of 2015. Doug came to Marketplace with nearly 31 years of pastoral ministry experience, including two nationally celebrated mega-churches in the Midwest. He also served as Senior Vice President of Converge Worldwide and President of Grand Rapids Theological Seminary. In addition, Doug has authored or co-authored 14 books in Christian ministry and leadership, while also completing a terminal degree with a focus on mentorship of the laity in the local church. Dr. Doug brings a theological acumen to the Ministry, as well as value added experience in leadership of national and international organizations.

Life:

Doug and Donna began their journey together as high school students serving through a local Youth for Christ ministry. They are blessed with their daughter and son-in-law who serve as professionals in ministry vocations. They have two granddaughters who bring them deep joy. Personal pursuits for Doug and Donna include family, travel, writing, equipping others and growing in ministry. Vacations are filled with family and friends near, on or even under the water, often in Western Michigan.
