Bio:

Jason Myhre serves as Director of Advocacy at Eventide. In this capacity, he serves as an advocate for “investing that makes the world rejoice”® and the Business 360 investing philosophy to investor, business, and popular audiences.

In prior roles at Eventide, Mr. Myhre led Marketing and Sales. Before joining Eventide, he worked in internal sales and managed key customer relationships for Altec.

He holds a M.S. and a B.S. in Biological Engineering from the University of Florida.

Jay Hein

Bio:

Jay Hein is the president of Sagamore Institute, a think tank he co-founded in 2004 with U.S. Senator Dan Coats.  As part of his Sagamore duties, Jay also serves as managing director of an impact investing vehicle called Commonwealth.  He is also a fellow at Baylor University’s Institute for the Studies of Religion.

Previously, Jay served as Deputy Assistant to President Bush and Director, White House Office of Faith-Based Initiatives.  In this capacity, he advised the President and oversaw the implementation of a “determined attack on need” with staff at a dozen cabinet agencies.  He formerly directed Civil Society Programs at Hudson Institute and he served as a welfare policy advisor to then-Wisconsin Governor Tommy Thompson.

Jay is the author of The Quiet Revolution: An Active Faith That Transforms Lives and Communities which was commissioned by Amazon to help launch its new faith-based division. He received an undergraduate degree at Eureka College and an honorary Doctor of Laws from Indiana Wesleyan University.

Jay joined Mars Catalyst in 2007. Since joining, he has been leading several critical components of the Economics of Mutuality, including developing and managing Catalyst’s many external thought partnerships, EoM education initiatives, etc. Since 2014, he has directed the multi-year joint research partnership on EoM that Catalyst has with Oxford University’s Said Business School, where Jay is a regular guest lecturer on EoM.

He is the co-author (with Bruno Roche) of the EoM book, ‘Completing Capitalism’ (Berrett-Koehler, 2017 & CITIC Press in Chinese, 2018).

Jay is American and is based in the Mars global headquarters in McLean, Virginia, outside Washington, D.C. His doctorate is in Modern History from Oxford University (St. John’s College), he has an M.A. in International Relations & Strategic Studies from the University of Lancaster (UK), and a double-BA in International Relations / Political Science from American University in Washington, DC.

Jake Thomsen

Bio:

Jake is a Partner with Sovereign’s Capital, a venture capital fund that invests in faith driven entrepreneurs in Southeast Asia and the U.S.  Prior to Sovereign’s he was in operational and advisory roles spanning start-ups to public companies.

As AVP of Bank of Hawaii, Jake oversaw sales, operations, customer engagement, and marketing for a regional team, with a focus on providing advice and growth capital to local entrepreneurs. He spent four years as an independent consultant, delivering strategy and operations advisory services to start-ups and small companies in the U.S. and Africa. Clients included a distributed solar energy company in Tanzania, a technology commercialization firm in North Carolina, and an innovative credit union with offices across the U.S.

As Lead Associate in the Strategic Innovation Group of consulting firm Booz Allen Hamilton, Jake launched and managed a SaaS cybersecurity risk product for large IT organizations, and led business development for energy offerings in Jakarta, Indonesia. He also helped to stand up the Internet of Things (IoT) division, which developed and delivered IoT products and services to Fortune 100 clients.

Life:

Jake lives with his wife Lauren and his twins (a daughter and son) in Washington, D.C., where he is a board member of Little Lights Urban Ministries and Trinity Fellows Academy.

James Cham

Bio:

James Cham is a Partner at Bloomberg Beta L.P. At the firm, he focuses on investments in data-centric and machine learning-related companies. Mr. Cham was a Principal at Trinity Ventures which he joined in 2010 and focused on investments in consumer services specifically ecommerce, social media, and digital media. He was a Vice President at Bessemer Venture Partners. He focused on advanced web technologies and was instrumental in eight new investments in consumer internet services, security, and digital media sectors along with a number of seed investments. He was a part of Data Security investment team. He was a Consultant of Boston Consulting Group. At, Boston Consulting Group, he developed marketing strategies for entertainment and information technology companies. Earlier, Mr. Cham built web applications for startups as a Principal at Zefer and led teams that designed award-winning web applications. He also developed information technology systems for Fortune 500 companies as a Software Developer at Andersen Consulting.

Mr. Cham started his career at Accenture as a Technology Consultant, where he created enterprise applications for clients in the financial, defense, and retail industries. He serves as a Director of SweetLabs, Inc. While at Bessemer, he was a Board Member of CrowdFlower and Open Candy and a Board Observer of LifeLock, ReputationDefender, Sonic Mule, and BillShrink. He has over five years of investing experience in the consumer services, enterprise software, and digital media space.

Mr. Cham received an M.B.A. from MIT’s Sloan School where he was a Siebel Scholar and interned at Sun Microsystems. Mr. Cham earned an A.B. degree in Computer Science from Harvard University.

James Gitoho

James Gitoho is an architect by profession, having graduated in 1981 with a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Nairobi University. He has been a director of TRIAD Architects since 1988. He is a Fellow of the Architectural Association of Kenya (AAK) and the Board of Registration of Architects and Quantity Surveyors of Kenya (BORAQS).

His passion for order, integrity, and professionalism led to the certification of TRIAD as an ISO 9001-2015 certified company since 2001.
In 2013 when Triad celebrated 50 years of practice in the East Africa region, James was instrumental in the creation of TRIAD Foundation, a corporate body through which the architectural firm channels her philanthropic activities in Heath Education and Environment to empower people and transform communities in the informal settlements of Nairobi.
James is a respected member of the community and serves as a director at various company boards. He is the architectural advisor to the Church Commissioners for Kenya. James is a keen golfer and a member of Karen Country Club.
James is married to Valentine Gitoho and they are blessed with two married children, David Gitoho and Tshiko Kiptinness. They also have two grandchildren.
