Wade Myers

Bio:

Wade Myers is a serial entrepreneur, investor, advisor, author, and speaker that has founded, invested in, and been a director of scores of companies and has completed over 100 financing and M&A transactions.

Wade has been a featured speaker at top business schools as well as investment banking, venture capital, private equity, technology, and entrepreneurship conferences worldwide.

He is the founder and CEO of Capital Works, an award-winning digital investment banking firm, and is also a founder and general partner of Eagle Venture Fund, a global seed capital firm that focuses on impact investments. Wade’s previous ventures include a global SaaS-based big data company and an Inc. 5000 nationwide SaaS-based property management firm that has grown to be the fourth-largest firm in an industry of 6,500 competitors since he founded the company in 2004.

Wade’s other work experience includes the Boston Consulting Group and several years at Mobil Corporation where he rose to a national-level executive position. He also served as an Airborne Ranger in the US Army where he commanded a special weapons unit, developed new doctrine regarding atomic, liquid, and slurry demolitions, was awarded a Bronze Star when he was recalled to active duty to fight in the Gulf War.

Wade’s other work experience includes the Boston Consulting Group and Mobil Corporation. He also served as an Airborne Ranger in the US Army where he was a decorated veteran of the Gulf War.

Wade has a BS from North Dakota State University, an MS from Texas A&M University, and an MBA from Harvard University where he graduated as a Baker Scholar (top 5% of his class). He also helped develop an executive education course for Harvard Business School and is a Harvard case study author. Wade is also a published author with articles in Inc. Magazine, Forbes, Huffington Post, and Apple News. He was also featured in Episode 4 of Season 1 of the Curious Entrepreneur series on Amazon Prime.

Wade and his wife Andreanna live in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and have five children.

Wes Lyons is a General Partner at Eagle Venture Fund, where he leads Eagle’s investment theme of combating human trafficking.  Wes has previously been a  co-founder in two private equity funds focused on real estate and venture capital, helping to lead over $1B in real estate and venture deals.  Wes was also a Lieutenant Commander in the US Navy, where he was the officer in charge of the US Navy detachment to the Philippines in 2018, assisting the Filipino military in re-taking a city from ISIS.

Will Lofland leads the sales efforts for the GuideStone Funds® lineup of registered mutual funds. In addition, Mr. Lofland oversees GuideStone’s shareholder advocacy strategy and represents the firm as a participant in the Interfaith Center on Corporate Responsibility.

Mr. Lofland joined GuideStone® in 2014 as the manager of institutional sales, where he was responsible for direct institutional sales and financial advisor outreach, including establishing firm-level relationships and expanding awareness of the GuideStone Funds brand in the financial advisor marketplace. Prior to assuming his responsibilities at GuideStone, Mr. Lofland was a wholesaler with Fidelity Institutional Asset Management. Prior to Fidelity, he served as a financial advisor with Merrill Lynch, the Wealth Management division of Bank of America, and spent time at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas in the Economic Research area.

Mr. Lofland holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Baylor University.

Trae Stephens

Bio:

Trae Stephens is a Partner at Founders Fund, where he focuses on startups operating in the government space.

Previously, Trae was an early employee at Palantir Technologies, where he led teams focused on growth in the intelligence/defense space as well as international expansion, helping large organizations solve their hardest data analysis problems. He was also an integral part of the product team, leading the design and strategy for new product offerings. While at Palantir, Trae also served as an adjunct faculty member at Georgetown University.

Prior to Palantir, Trae worked as a computational linguist building enterprise solutions to Arabic/Persian name matching and data enrichment within the United States Intelligence community. He began his career working in the office of then-Congressman Rob Portman and in the Political Affairs Office at the Embassy of Afghanistan in Washington, D.C. immediately following the installation of Hamid Karzai’s transitional government. Trae graduated from the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University.

Tom Blaisdell

Prior to founding AlignPact in 2018, Tom’s background includes 30+ years of operating and investing experience in venture backed companies as well as experiences in both the consulting and academic worlds.
‍Tom joined DCM Ventures, a Silicon Valley venture capital firm, in January of 2000, when the partnership had one office in Menlo Park, California and a little over $200MM in committed capital. Over the next 17 years, the firm added offices in Beijing and Shanghai, China as well as Tokyo, Japan, and grew their assets under management to $3.8B across more than a dozen funds. With a focus on innovation in financial technology (FinTech) and technology and services that empower entrepreneurs and small businesses, Tom led DCM’s investments in PayCycle (acquired by Intuit), HireRight (IPO on NASDAQ; acquired by USIS), Jaspersoft (acquired by Tibco), Caring.com (acquired by Bankrate), Vendavo (acquired by Francisco Partners), Vindicia (acquired by Amdocs), and Bill.com.
‍Tom began his technology start-up career with a six-year stint at Intuit, joining the then-private company a month prior to the launch of Quicken for Windows 1.0 and finishing his time there as GM of the QuickBooks division. In the late nineties he was an early executive at two more start-ups, Fatbrain.com and Encanto Networks.
‍Prior to joining Intuit, Tom was a consultant at Bain & Co in their Boston and San Francisco offices. He received a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University and an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College.
‍While transitioning from DCM to AlignPact, Tom also served as Executive Director of Private Equity at the Center for Private Equity & Venture Capital (CPEVC) at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth. Following his two-year tenure as Executive Director, Tom continues to serve as a Senior Fellow at the CPEVC as well as pursue research into private equity structures that allow optimal alignment between investors and entrepreneurs interested in building enduring organizations beyond traditional PE investing time horizons.
