Cathie registered ARK Investment Management LLC (“ARK”) as an investment adviser with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in January 2014. With over 40 years of experience identifying and investing in innovation, Cathie founded ARK to focus solely on disruptive innovation while adding new dimensions to research. Through an open approach that cuts across sectors, market capitalizations, and geographies, Cathie believes that ARK can identify large-scale investment opportunities in the public markets resulting from technological innovations centered around DNA sequencing, robotics, artificial intelligence, energy storage, and blockchain technology. As Chief Investment Officer (“CIO”) and Portfolio Manager, Cathie led the development of ARK’s philosophy and investment approach and has ultimate responsibility for investment decisions.

Chad Hamilton is Director of Practice Management at Brown and Company, Inc., and has more than 20 years of experience in the wealth advisory industry.  Previously, he was V.P. of practice management for one of the largest independent wealth management firms in the country, where he built customized tools, processes, and marketing resources for nearly 200 wealth advisors. Chad was also national director of wealth planning for a large regional bank, is a CFP® and Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy. Chad is the author of two books, Deep Wealth and Redefining Financial Freedom, and has contributed to leading financial publications including CNBC, Investors’ Business Daily, Money Magazine, Financial Advisor IQ, and Financial Planning Magazine.

Senior Vice President and the Chief Investment Officer | Everence

Chad Horning, CFA®, serves as a Senior Vice President and the Chief Investment Officer of Everence®. He is also a member of the Everence Senior Leadership Team. As the Chief Investment Officer, Chad provides oversight and leadership to Everence investment processes. He joined Everence in 1999, serving as an Equity Analyst. From 2000 to 2008, he served as Equity Investment Manager and Senior Equity Investment Manager. Chad also serves as the President of Praxis Mutual Funds®, a leading faith-based, socially responsible family of mutual funds from Everence designed to help people and groups integrate their finances with faith values. He serves on the investment committee of the Mennonite Education Agency and is a frequent guest speaker at economic, educational and civic organizations. Chad earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Goshen College, and his Master of Arts degree in economics from the University of Maryland. He earned his Chartered Financial Analyst® designation in 2001.

Chad Merrill has a long history as a successful entrepreneur, having been involved in the creation and leadership of multiple businesses. Most recently Chad founded Impact 2:52, LLC which owns and operates 7 athletic facilities in the Atlanta area operating as D-BAT Baseball & Softball and TOCA Soccer.  The mission of Impact 2:52 is to Inspire, Influence & Impact.

Prior to Impact 2:52, Chad was a Founding partner in Onepath Systems. Founded in 2006 it has grown to a $200 million dollar technology company with over 1,500 employees. Prior to Onepath Systems, his companies included a technology and cabling company operating in seven states and a travel and technology company that was sold to Synovus in 2001. His special strengths lie in leadership, strategy, strategic partnerships and out-of-the-box thinking that leverages partner skill sets to create Win-Win-Win relationships.

In late 2017, Chad became the President of the Fellowship of Companies for Christ International.  FCCI is a 40 year old ministry whose vision is transforming the world through Christ one business leader at a time.

Life:

Originally from Swainsboro, Georgia, Chad attended boarding school in NYC before attending Emory University &  Georgia State University in Atlanta. An entrepreneur at heart, he enjoys working with partners to create companies and opportunities for others to succeed. Chad lives in Atlanta, Georgia with his wife, Robin, and their two sons. Chad sits on the Truett McConnell University Board of Visitors, and the Boards of FCCI International & Amplio Recruiting. He enjoys spending time with his family, coaching entrepreneurs, traveling and living an active lifestyle.
