When Justin Dillon set out to stop modern day slavery he thought it would be through big concerts and interviews with Oprah. Though he did big shows and made many hollywood connections, the needle on slavery wasn’t moving fast enought and he knew he needed to make a change
.He realized that in order to change the slavery epidemic he needed big companies and government leaders to not only care about the issue, but be faced with penalties if they didn’t act to stop it.



FRDM was born as an enterprise software to track slavery in supply chains and is already having a massive impact. But in order to really grow it, Justin was looking for capital to come alongside to go to scale.
Enter Marketplace.
When a friend in the FDI network introduced Justin to us we loved the idea and immediately gave him the chance to upload his deal into Marketplace. With the investor as a Champion for his deal writing a referral for him it made it that much more compelling to others.
We shared with our investor network through newsletter and calls, and people started getting excited. Then on a virtual demo day it really shined through as a top company, with a great team, and a strong mission.
Investors responded and now Justin is growing the team and building new sales relationships so that more companies engage to end the slavery epidemic.
